Environmental protection technologies R&D
ChemChina conducts environmental protection technologies R&D and develops technologies to boost a positive environmental impact and applications prospects. Its industrial cleaning, water treatment and sea-water desalination have already realized extensive industrial applications for a greener environment.
(1) Liquid separation membrane and water treatment technologies
It has been applied to the Bird's Nest Stadium rain and flood recycling engineering, waste water recycling of Taiyuan Iron and Steel (Group) Co Ltd. and other huge water resources projects in the country.
(2) Reverse osmosis seawater desalination technology
The technology has been adopted as the first hundred-ton reverse osmosis seawater desalination engineering project in the nation. The largest membrane seawater desalination project - Caofeidian 50,000 t/d sea water desalination and over 70 percent sea water desalination devices in the nation.
(3) Yellow phosphorus tail gas purification and applications technology
The first set of yellow phosphorus tail gas purification and applications device in the world were completed in Kaiyang, Guizhou. More than 65 million Nm3 yellow phosphorus tail gas is utilized annually to reduce emissions of approximately 356 tons of phosphorus, sulphur, arsenic and fluoride after reaching full capacity. The technology is listed in the Demonstration Technical List for National Advanced Pollution Prevention and Control.
